I would like to add this e-mail as to how the GMHL helped one player of many reach their dram.  Good Luck Jake in your future in hockey. 

We (parents of Jake Gilbert)  would like to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to the GMHL and to several individuals that made it possible for our son to have the opportunity to play NCAA Div III hockey.

First and foremost; DAN GARNEAU- you have been the constant for us, from beginning to end, you stood behind our son and saw his potential. You gave him the opportunity he needed in order to develop, gain confidence and mature as a hockey player. Without you, I think our son could have been overlooked as a college hockey player. You stood behind him, networked for him and followed through with your belief and faith in him as a hockey player and person. We can not thank you enough.

Nipissing Alouettes- Owner (staff) and billet- THANK you for our first JR A experience.  We appreciate the opportunity and the friendships we established in the process!!! It was very memorable to say the least!!!!

Espanola Kings- Owner (Dave Blythe) Coach (Rory) Scout (Rod Laraque- and your family)- You have all played a vital part in Jake's development and success. THANK YOU!!!

Once again, Dan Garneau- we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for giving our son the opportunity he deserved and standing behind him for 2 full seasons. We know we made the right decision to have Jake become part of the GMHL- we are excited to see what the future holds!! . We know he will make you and the GMHL proud!!!
